Is it really free?
Yes. Creating an account is free and you get one claim every week. Listings are either discounted or 100% free, depending on the provider. Give A Bite+ ($5/month) adds daily claims and perks.
How do I pick up my food?
After you claim a listing, go to the location during its pickup window, show the app, and collect your food. That's it.
Do you deliver?
No. Give A Bite is pickup only — every claim is collected in person at the listed location.
How do students get verified?
Sign up with your school, college or university email. We check the domain against registered Edmonton school partners, then unlock the Student Feed and daily claims. Verification is refreshed periodically.
Is the food good quality?
It's our promise. Every listing is quality food — free or discounted never means lesser.
How do I list food as a business, food bank or school?
Call or text us at 587-785-2077, email support.giveabite@gmail.com, or use the contact form below, and we'll get you set up. Food businesses pay a discounted listing fee; food banks, schools and community organizations are always free.
